Kaylan M. Dunlap, CASp, ADAC (Kaylan)

Kaylan Dunlap is a Principal and Director of Technical Services with Evan Terry Associates (ETA). Kaylan started work with Evan Terry Associates in 2003 and serves as the firm’s primary technical access specialist. Some of her projects include the Los Angeles Housing Department, the Congressional Office of Compliance at the U.S. Capitol Complex, a number of U.S. Department of Justice projects, and others. She Is a subject matter expert for the California Division of State Architect, serves as past president of the Board of Directors of the Certified Access Specialists Institute (CASI), and is a charter member of the California State Architect’s Access Code Collaborative, representing the interests of people with disabilities. She has coordinated and co-taught the ADA Compliance program for the Harvard Graduate School of Design’s Executive Education Program and teaches accessibility seminars  nationwide.

Kaylan earned an APAC-BE certification in 2024 (Accessibility Professionals Association - Built Environment) and became a Certified Access Specialist (CASp) in the State of California in 2011. She also completed the Great Plains ADA Center ADA Coordinator Training Certificate Program in 2017 and served on the U.S. Access Board’s Advisory Committee on Standards for Medical Diagnostic Equipment. She serves as an Alternate Committee Member for the Disability Rights Education and Defense Fund on the ANSI A117.1 committee and secretary of the Ground and Floor Surfaces Committee for RESNA.
