Boundaries of Angled Parking Spaces

General Comment or Question

An architect asked me about allowable slopes in angled parking stalls and whether the "triangular sections" at the head of the stall and the foot of the stall could have slopes > 1:48 and possibly have a column in these locations (see sketch) - it would seem that these areas are outside the boundaries described in the text of  CA 11B-502.2, 11B-502.3 & 11B-502.4

Hi Roger,

Would you mind if we used this question as February's "Ask A CASp" question? I'd love to get it in front of as many people as possible to see if we can get some responses for you.

Thanks,

Kaylan
