Several years ago, Campion set out to provide the opportunity for their customer Andrew Streeter, a young man paralyzed at the shoulders after an accident, to get back on to the water.
In order to keep his passion alive, Andrew, along with his 450 pound power chair would need to somehow get on and off a boat. The request for this customized Campion 602 Explorer originally came from Andrew’s father, Todd, in Minnesota, and was achieved by engineering a portable power lift that can be easily attached to a boats deck, stringer and transom.
Todd has posted an enthusiastic demonstration of the product’s accessibility on Campion Marine’s YouTube channel, in addition President Brock Elliott’s introduction video. Campion Marine is thrilled to hear that our product is still bringing Andrew and his family so much joy.
