How I Get Coins & Gems in Car Evolve Without Losing My Soul: A Very Personal Guide
Top tip: Get Car Evolve Free Coins and Gems Codes
Hey there,
fellow car-evolvie,
or
would-be car-evolvie
Either way, I'm pleased to meet you. I'm not an esports pro or a dev, just an enthusiastic gamer who's put in enough hours in
Car Evolve to develop... opinions.
Strong opinions, mostly about coins and the social implications of naming your car Sir Bumperton. It is, in fact, a socially acceptable name. I looked it up.
Here's my personal guide to getting more Coins and Gems in Car Evolve, the things which have kept me playing (and spending) for far too long.
Depending on particular versions, time of year, or which platforms you play on, some options may be labeled differently or not be present at all. Here we go:
1. Treat your daily login rewards like a toothbrush.
Not exciting, but necessary.
The daily login rewards and streak bonuses are the easiest way to get Coins and Gems in the game, as far as I'm concerned. And I speak from experience; I once lost a week's worth of streak bonuses by going on vacation with a friend. Learned my lesson, too. No matter how busy you are, no matter what movie you're watching or what food you're eating, log in, collect your daily, and log out again. It'll take two seconds. Future you will thank you.
Same goes for logging in and checking your mailbox; I find it's less time than it takes to scroll past three raccoon videos. That's a personal preference, but I'm sticking to it.
2. Watch ads, but be picky about which ones you watch.
I know,
I know.
Ads are why we can't have nice things. Nobody wants to watch an ad for a mobile game where a guy keeps failing at pulling a pin, but those optional "Watch this ad for double coins!" buttons? Those are gold.
How I deal with ads: Double my coins while I make my morning coffee
That's right. I try to chain together actions in the game that reward me with something I want with ads I have to watch. If I'm watching a coin doubler ad, I can play a race or two. That way, I'm not staring helplessly at my screen for an hour trying to get more coins than I would've gotten if I just bought a pack. If an ad isn't worth it or isn't working, I move on and try again later. Sometimes closing and reopening the app fixes the issue. Other times, it doesn't. Don't beat yourself up over it.
Be careful about what you tap, too; I almost tapped something I definitely didn't want to while half-paying attention to the raccoon video. Not fun.
3. Missions and achievements are your friends.
For the first month or so of playing, I was what you might call a casual, non-achiever. I drove around and upgraded and admired my cars for all their glorious cinematic beauty. Then I opened the missions and achievements menu and saw all the things I'd gotten without realizing it.
Missions are usually pretty simple tasks, like racing a certain number of times or upgrading particular parts or earning a certain amount of coins. Whatever it is, do it. It'll add up faster than you think. I always look at my missions as part of my pre-sleep routine, along with turning off the lights and unplugging the coffee maker. If I have a chance to collect rewards, I usually do so. Check if you've gotten any event milestones, too. Did you miss an achievement? Did you forget about it? No? Don't worry, I'll remind you. That's what friends are for. It only takes two minutes and can earn you a bunch of Coins or Gems.
4. Gems are for things that last forever. Or your patience.
Coins are cool, but Gems are where it's at. I've learned that it's best not to waste my precious Gems on impatient upgrades or whatever else the game considers "instant" unless I'm sure I want it.
I've made that mistake before. Bought a fancy paint job that looked great in the garage but didn't stand out in races. I liked it, in hindsight I could've lived without it. We all have our regrets.
What I save my Gems for:
permanent multipliers or boosts, if the game has those,
garage space or cars that earn me more money,
event passes if I'm sure I'm going to complete the event,
and
a small amount of Gems for emergencies so I don't have to buy a car I kind of like with Gems. I'm saving up for a big purchase or something permanently helpful, like a boost. My personal philosophy is to always have a small amount of Gems on hand to serve as a buffer or emergency fund. About 300, in my case. I get stingy when I hit that mark.
It's not a financial piece of advice, it's a game piece of advice.
5. Events are where all the good stuff is.
I've had better Coin and Gem earning experiences during limited events. They also lead to my friends calling me names that aren't suitable for this family friendly website.
Pick an event to participate in and stick with it. I used to chase after every event and end up with nothing but a sense of accomplishment and more than a few incomplete progress bars. Now I look at the events and decide which ones I can do and how I can approach them. If I know which milestones I can get during a particular event, I can work towards those. If I'm doing well in one, I might move on to other events.
When events are ending, I always do an extra check to see if I've gotten all the rewards I could. I don't know how many times I've gotten event-specific rewards that I didn't realize were there.
6. Upgrade your main car, not your entire collection.
My garage is full of terrible decisions. As an avid collector, I like to keep all my cars, even the ones that don't do well in races. "Sir Bumperton" is one of them. It may not make sense, but it's my favorite.
In order to earn Coins, I focus on one or two cars that I use for racing and upgrade rather than spreading out my limited supply of Coins and Gems between all of them. If I focus on upgrading the parts that best benefit my play style, I can be more competitive. I can have a car that's faster, more powerful, or handles better, whichever is most important. It's better to have one car that can get me the Coins and Gems I need, rather than ten cars that can barely do anything. I have a note on my phone reminding myself which car I'm upgrading next. It's embarrassing, but it works. I call it my "garage strategy". It's not much, but it's all I need.
7. If the game has a community, participate in it.
If you can find one, a group or club server, join it. Playing and talking with other people has helped me both find ways to earn Coins and prevent me from spending them when I shouldn't. A community can also warn you about bugs and bad deals, and make you feel better about your terrible garage collection decisions. It's a win-win either way.
8. Set up a routine
This is probably the least sexy piece of advice on the list, but it's one of the most important: my short and simple morning, afternoon, nighttime, and event-specific routines.
Here's what mine looks like:
Morning:
Log in, get my daily and watch one good multiplier ad, maybe. Check my mailbox.
Afternoon:
Claim my event or mission rewards and do a couple races.
Night:
Check my achievements and spend my Coins on my main car. Don't spend any Gems on a fancy something-I-didn't-realize-was-there.
End of an event:
Do that extra sweep for unclaimed rewards. This is sacred. Not really.
Shorter sessions are always better than one long session where you burn yourself out and end up buying something you don't really want. I speak from experience; I used to play for hours at a time and end up spending Gems because I was bored. That's a recipe for disaster. Don't let it happen to you.
9. Don't spend your real life money on something you don't like.
It's a game. It's supposed to be fun. If you're spending hours upon hours trying to get enough cash to buy the car you want because you can't bear watching an ad, you should step away for a while. Take a break. Let yourself breathe. I guarantee you that the game will still be there when you come back. The next day, even. The event may be over, but there's always another one coming, and your sanity is worth more than a single car. My personal mantra is "Coins are for progress, Gems are for patience, and time is for enjoying it all." Don't name your car "Sir Bumperton" unless you're sure you want it forever. I wasn't. I am.
TL;DR: Log in and watch the rewarding ads. Claim your achievements and missions. Save your Gems for things that last or for patience. Do events. Upgrade your main car. Use free things. Join a community if you can. Avoid any website that asks for your information and lets you download a "hack", because those are scams and you don't want to lose your account. Have a small buffer of Gems so you can't just buy a car you don't want at 11 p.m. Now go get those Coins! May your races be swift, your rewards plentiful, and your collection contain at least one car named "Sir Bumperton".
