Heyyy what's up fellow managers! It's your girl Maya (PixelMaya if you wanna add me in-game) and welcome to my corner of chaos

Ok listen real talk: When I started playing Hotel Legacy 4 months ago, I was SO broke. So broke that I couldn't afford to fix the lobby carpet. I had a measly 320 coins, 2 diamonds, a broken down hotel room that looked like it had survived a hurricane, and I was serving anyone I could tap. I was buying every cute plant that came along, and I simply had no idea why all the other hotels I visited had crystal chandeliers and rooftop pools, while mine had a sad little fern. After too many 2am grinds (with ramen), I finally figured out a system. I'm not a whale but I sure haven't spent a dime on the game and now I'm at level 34 with a fully upgraded 3rd floor. Here's what actually helped me.

Snag a snack! Let's dive in.

Daily logins + daily tasks are boring as heck, but they're OPI

I know, every game blog says this! I used to ignore them too because I wanted to decorate my hotel. But this is literally 70% of my income. I made it a habit to log in when my coffee was steaming in the morning as I prepped for the day. It takes 5 minutes. Check the daily login, collect the coins, and complete the 3 easy daily tasks. My pro tip from my lazy girl era: Don't claim the Day 7 diamond chest until you really need it! I like to save it for events. It feels like having an emergency fund and it stops me from impulse spending too.

VIP guests are your best friends. Spoil them rotten.

This was a huge game changer for me. For my first month I was treating all guests the same. Big mistake. HUGE mistake.

Hotel Legacy Free Diamonds and Coins  Now when a VIP guest (with their little gold suitcase icon) comes sauntering in, I drop everything I'm doing! I will literally pause myself mid cleaning for Brenda from Room 202 (sorry Brenda). VIP guests with a Perfect Check-in gives you about 3x-4x the coins and sometimes have generous diamond tips. My personal quirk: I talk to them out loud. I say, "Yes sir, Mr. Fancy Hat, your penthouse suite is ready, please tip your girl well." My roommate thinks I'm crazy but my coin balance went from 2k to 20k in a week once I prioritized them. Upgrade your Front Desk speed if you can. That perfect check-in window is incredibly small in the beginning, trust me.

Events. EVENTS. Do not sleep on events!!

The most important tip I can give you if you take one thing from this post, is to never skip a limited-time event. Last month there was a limited-time Hollywood Gala Week event? I almost skipped it as I was busy with work. Thank god I didn't. I played about 30 mins a nights, completed the event storyline and I walked away with 180 diamonds and about 15k coins. Free!

I set a phone reminder for events now. Hotel Legacy often releases codes/hints on their official Discord/Insta during events too, so go follow them. Free diamonds for typing in a code, yes please!

STOP impulse-spending your diamonds (learn from my trauma)

deep sigh ... Okay story time. It's 2:37AM and I'm half-asleep, loopy, and my cat Mochi is sitting on my tablet. I see this shiny GOLDEN DUCK FOUNTAIN in the shop for 200 diamonds. It quacks. I thought it was hilarious. I bought it.

DIAMONDS. Gone. For a duck.

Do I regret it? ... a little bit, even though guests do love it and Mochi is still proud of herself.

Hotel Legacy Free Diamonds and Coins  Coins are for decorating/upgrading, Diamonds are for unlocking stuff that MAKE YOU MORE MONEY.

Don't spend diamonds to speed up a 2-minute cleaning, that's a trap. Save them for unlocking new floors, permanent staff slots, or nice event bundles. My rule now is, if it's not going to earn me MORE coins/diamonds later on, I don't buy it with diamonds. I even made myself a silly sticky note on my monitor that says

"DO YOU NEED IT OR DO YOU JUST WANT THE DUCK?!". It helps.

Get social, even if you're an introvert like me

I'm a solo player at heart. I don't like joining guilds/clans in games, it gives me social anxiety lol. But in Hotel Legacy, joining an active Crew was a game-changer. You can send/accept daily gift boxes with coins, help each other with guest requests for bonus tips, and the weekly goals give everyone diamonds. I just lurk, send gifts, say "ty!!" with too many exclamation points and collect my loot. Perfect introvert teamwork. Add active friends too. I delete anyone who hasn't logged in for 3+ days. Sorry, no ghost hotels on my list.

My weird routine for coin-farming that just works

Okay this is my personal gremlin routine that I do while waiting for my ramen noodles to cook (3 minutes, perfect farming window):

Collect everything from all rooms.

Restock the shop/vending machines (those little passive coins add UP).

Play ONE round of the match-3 mini-game in the arcade. . Hotel Legacy I'm embarrassingly bad at it, but even a low score gives you 200-300 coins. It's free every few hours!

Watch ONE ad for the 2x tips boost, then go ham on check-ins for 10 mins. I do this 2-3 times a day and I swear I make more than when I used to play stressed for 2 hours straight.

Upgrade in the RIGHT order.

I messed this up so much at first. I upgraded my wallpaper to Royal Purple before I upgraded my beds. Pretty? Yes. Profitable? Absolutely not.

What I do now is:

Beds > Bathrooms > Front Desk > Elevator Speed > THEN pretty decor

Higher room quality = higher room price = richer guests = bigger tips. Decor is cute for your rating, but comfort is what gets you paid. Trust broke-era Maya on this one.

So there's my tips! That's literally all I do. No hacks, no weird generator sites (please don't click those, my friend lost her account trying that, it's not worth it), just consistent cozy grinding. I'm still not a mega-rich hotel tycoon, I still get excited when I hit 100 diamonds again, but my hotel now looks like a Legacy and not a haunted motel, so I'll take the win.

What about you guys? Do you have any secret tips I missed? Or have you also bought something stupid at 2am? Please tell me I'm not the only duck fountain girlie.

Drop a comment, add me in-game, and I'll send you a gift box!

Your fellow sleep-deprived manager (and chaos gremlin),

Maya 💎🏨✨
