The goal of the game depends on the role a player chooses. As a hunter, the objective is to search the map for hidden chameleons and eliminate them before the time limit expires. Hunters must carefully inspect every corner of the environment because the chameleons may be disguised as ordinary objects. If a hunter spots a hidden player, they can shoot them to remove them from the match. Success requires patience, keen eyesight, and the ability to notice anything that seems out of place.

Playing as a chameleon is a very different experience. Instead of running away, chameleons survive by hiding in plain sight. Each player begins as a white, bipedal character that can be customized to match the environment. The game's main mechanic allows chameleons to paint themselves using different colors. They can use a color picker to choose a color manually or an eyedropper tool to copy the exact color of nearby objects, making their disguise much more convincing.
