If you’re anything like me, your phone screen is currently dominated by weird, long-legged, oval-shaped felines knocking down alien castles. Yes, I am still completely obsessed with The Battle Cats. My friends think I’ve lost my mind, but honestly? Watching a giant cat with human arms slap a doge into oblivion just never gets old.

When I first started playing, I was… well, a disaster. I was throwing my precious Cat Food at single rare draws like a total gacha-addict, constantly running out of XP, and wondering why on earth my cats were getting steamrolled by a giant floating face.

Fast forward a couple of years, and I’ve finally figured out the rhythm of this crazy game. Today, I wanted to share my personal, tried-and-true tips for stacking up Cat Food, XP, and in-game resources (or "cat cents," as my little brother calls 'em!).

Grab a cup of coffee (or catnip tea, no judgment), and let's dive in.

Part 1: How I Hoard Cat Food (The Shiny Gold of the Game)

Cat Food is the holy grail. It buys you those sweet, sweet Uber Rares and recharges your energy when you’re hyper-fixated at 2:00 AM. Here is how I get mine without spending my actual, real-life rent money.

1. Gamatoto is My Little Pixelated Best Friend

Look, Gamatoto and I have a bond. I send that little guy into the caves, and he comes back with weird bones, bricks, and—most importantly—Cat Food.

  • My quirk tip: Set a timer on your phone for his expeditions! I usually do the 6-hour runs during the workday. I swear, the feeling of opening the app to find he brought back 7 Cat Food feels like winning the mini-lottery. Also, level him up ASAP. Give him the best helpers you can find!

2. The "First Clear" Goldmine

Battle Cats Free Cat Food, Cents and XP Codes Every time a new event stage pops up, do it. Even if it looks weird or intimidating. Clearing all stages in a sub-chapter gives you a 30 Cat Food bonus plus a Leadership (which is basically free energy).

  • Anecdote time: I used to ignore the collab events because I thought, "Eh, I don't care about this random Japanese anime." BIG MISTAKE. That was free Cat Food just sitting there! Now, I clear every event stage I can physically manage.

3. Watching Ads (Yes, Really, Hear Me Out)

I know, I know. Nobody likes ads. But when I’m sitting on the couch watching TV, I’ll literally just sit there, tap the "Watch Ad" button in the Cat Food store, put my phone face down, and let it play. Do that 10 times a day while watching Netflix, and boom—that’s 10 free Cat Food a day for zero effort.Click for Battle Cats Free Cat Food, Cents and XP Codes

4. THE GOLDEN RULE: Never, EVER Do Single Pulls!

Please learn from my trauma. When I was a newbie, I spent 150 Cat Food the second I got it. I got a duplicate Archer Cat. I cried inside.

  • Save for Guaranteed 11-Draws ONLY. 1,500 Cat Food is a lot, I know. It takes patience. But waiting for a "100% Guaranteed Uber" banner will change your life. Don't gamble on single pulls unless you have silver/gold tickets!

Part 2: XP – How to Level Up Without Going Bankrupt

XP is your in-game cash. You need millions of it if you want to push your units past level 30. Here’s how I keep my XP bank overflowing.

1. XP Blitz Stages are Sacred

Check the event schedule! The XP Stage, XP Megablitz, and XP Colosseum are where the real gains are.

  • Warning: They can be terrifying at first (Black enemies move ridiculously fast!).
  • My strategy: Battle Cats Free Cat Food I built a dedicated "Anti-Black" team. Pizza Cat and Weightlifter Cat carry me through these. Throw on an XP Up power-item before the stage starts, and if you're feeling brave, use a Treasure Radar on the hardest XP stage you can beat to guarantee the max drop. You’ll walk away with hundreds of thousands (sometimes millions) of XP in three minutes.

2. Grind the Weekend Stages

If you’re still earlier in the game, the Weekend Stage is your bread and butter. Put on a podcast, sit down, and grind it out. It’s mindless, but it works.

3. The Great Duplicate Cat Dilemma

When you use a Rare Ticket and get a cat you already have, the game asks: Convert to XP or Use for +1 level?

  • Early game: If it's a useless duplicate normal cat or a bad rare, early-game me used to dump them for XP.
  • PRO TIP: Save them! Once you beat Stories of Legend, you unlock "NP" (Nutrient Points) which are way more valuable later. But if you are desperately broke in the early game, cashing in a duplicate unit for a quick 100k+ XP can save you in a pinch.

My Secret Weapon: Treasures (Don't Ignore Them!)

If you take one thing away from this blog post, let it be this: GO BACK AND GET ALL GOLD TREASURES IN EMPIRE OF CATS.

I spent three weeks stuck on Into the Future Chapter 1 because I was lazy and skipped treasures. I thought, "Ah, 10% extra energy recovery isn't that big a deal." IT IS A BIG DEAL.
Treasures boost your cat production speed, increase your XP gain, boost your cat strength, and make energy recharge faster. Wait for a "Treasure Festival" event (they happen almost every day at specific hours), grab your fastest running cats (looking at you, Giraffe Cat), and farm those Gold Treasures!

At the end of the day, The Battle Cats is a marathon, not a sprint. You’re gonna have days where RNGesus hates you and you get three Stilts Cats in a row. It’s fine! Smile, sell 'em, send Gamatoto out again, and keep pushing.

What about you guys? What’s your go-to stage for farming XP? Did you also waste your first 1,000 Cat Food on random single pulls like I did? Drop a comment below and let me know—I love reading your disaster stories!

Until next time, keep those meatshields spawning! 🐾🐱
