Although best practices used to include recessed or semi-recessed toilet paper dispensers adjacent to disabled accessible water closets, the codes appear to be silent on this as a requirement.  Does anyone know of specific code related language for this?  Surface mounted dispensers are now being used for design and construction convenience, and they appear to pose an unnecessary hazard of injury due to the amount they project from the wall and their rather sharp corners.  I feel this should be a future code modification to require at least semi-recessed styles with the maximum allowable projection limited to approximately the grab bar projection limits.
