Rebuilding Together is a nonprofit year-round program that helps to repair and rehabilitate the homes of low-income elderly, disabled, and veteran homeowners so they may live with independence and dignity. We do not construct new homes but work with existing housing to bring volunteers from all walks of life and all faiths together to help eligible recipients remain warm, safe, and dry in their homes. We are part of a national organization and with 150 affiliates across the United States and are a leading home repair and renovation program in the country.
For nearly 25 years, our organization has served northeast Ohio investing millions of dollars in market value services while working with thousands of individual volunteers. To date, more than 3,000 homeowners have been served. This sustained partnership with local organizations such as the City of Akron, the City of Green, the City of Canton, Lake County, the County of Summit, Fifth Third Bank, Gilbane Construction, the Cleveland Clinic, the National Association of Remodelers Industry, the Akron Cleveland Area Board of REALTORS, the Home Builders Association Serving Summit and Portage Counties, and various church, educational, and civic groups has literally changed lives. We look forward to growing additional partnerships as we work with others in surrounding counties in 2016 and beyond as we continue to grow as a Community Revitalization Partner.
