11B-804.2.2 U-Shaped.

In U-shaped kitchens enclosed on three contiguous sides, clearance between all opposing base cabinets, counter tops, appliances, or walls within kitchen work areas shall be 60 inches (1524 mm) minimum.

Figure (a) is a plan view of a kitchen with appliances and cabinets on three sides.

Figure (b) is a plan view of a kitchen with appliances and cabinets on two opposites with a wall at the rear. The width of the kitchen entry opening is 60 inches minimum.
