Free community event to feature educational sessions
The Kornreich Technology Center at The Viscardi Center is hosting its annual Vision, Speech and Hearing Day on Thursday, June 9, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.. The goal of this FREE event is to educate the community about assistive technologies and support available to help those with sight, speech and hearing impairments regain their independence and lead more fulfilling lives. The learning sessions and hands-on demonstrations are designed for individuals with visual, hearing and speech disabilities, as well as their parents, family members and caregivers. It is also appropriate for aging individuals, health care professionals, instructors, trainers and managers of senior citizen and support groups.
Free hearing screenings, conducted by Molloy College, will be provided on a first come basis with signup at the door on the day of event.
The event is being held in conjunction with Molloy College and Future Vision Consultants. Breakfast and lunch will be served.
