The ADA and Higher Education: What you need to know

1:00 pm - 2:00 pm EDT, August 12, 2015   |   Organized by: Northeast ADA Center and Cornell University

Description

A webinar sponsored by the Northeast ADA Center and facilitated by Cornell University ILR School Employment and Disability Institute. With the college semester having just commenced or beginning soon, it Is a good time to review the rights and obligations of students with disabilities and universities. Students with disabilities have greater responsibilities for seeking accommodations in the postsecondary setting than they had in high school. Colleges and universities must comply with Section 504 and either Title II or III of the ADA. We will talk about the intersection of rights and responsibilities for both students with disabilities and postsecondary schools.
