Description: Public transportation plays an important role in an inclusive society. This course examines strategies for introducing universal design in public transportation systems from terminals to vehicle design and addresses the broader issue of service design. It teaches best practices in providing information, barrier-free boarding, fare payment, and other elements of transit systems. Case studies highlight the benefits of a universal design approach to public transportation systems.

Courses last 4-weeks (March 28 - April 24). Courses require about 15 hours of study during the 4-week window, including readings, videos, discussion, projects, and tests. There are no required sign in times so you can access the courses on your schedule.
