This conference will enrich the awareness of healthcare professionals regarding sexuality after SCI and increase their comfort and skill in talking to patients with SCI about sex beyond the basics of fertility and erection aids.

  • Describe sexual response, function and fertility options after SCI

  • Identify adaptive equipment and sexual positioning for people with SCI

  • Describe how to evaluate the impact of SCI on sexual functioning

  • Describe how to broach the topic of sex and provide effective counsel

  • Provide a framework for how to take a sexual history

  • Provide a structured model for how to communicate sensitive topics
