EARN Webinar: Ensuring Productivity: Developing Effective Reasonable Accommodations Programs

1:00 pm - 2:00 pm EDT, March 20, 2019   |   Organized by: Employer Assistance and Resource Network on Disability Inclusion (EARN)

Description

Reasonable accommodations play a critical role in ensuring inclusion of people with disabilities in the workplace. A well-crafted accommodations program can also help attract job applicants with disabilities, as well as retain workers who may acquire disabilities due to injury or illness. This webinar, hosted by the Employer Assistance and Resource Network on Disability Inclusion (EARN), will explore best practices organizations can use to develop, implement and evaluate effective and accountable accommodations programs. Participants will also learn about resources that can help strengthen existing accommodations policies and procedures. Anyone involved in their company’s reasonable accommodations process, including human resources and diversity and inclusion staff members, is encouraged to participate.

This webinar is part of EARN’s Inclusion@Work Webinar Series, based on its Inclusion@Work employer policy framework. Developed with input from employers with exemplary track records in disability employment, this framework outlines seven core components of a disability-inclusive organization, along with a menu of strategies for achieving them.

This event is approved for 1.0 HR general recertification credit hour through the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and the HR Certification Institute (HRCI).
