2:00 pm - 3:00 pm EDT, October 15, 2015   |   Organized by: SSB BART Group (SSB)

Description

Date/Time: Thursday, October 15 from 2:00-3:00pm ET

Location: Webinar

Description: Most retailers understand that physical spaces need to conform to specific design requirements for accessibility under the ADA, but in recent years the scope of this law is being interpreted more broadly to include web sites and mobile apps. An increasing number of retailers, both online and brick and mortar, are facing lawsuits relating to the accessibility of their digital properties. This webinar will cover:

  • Current ADA requirements for retailers

  • Expected changes and projected timeline for implementation

  • Recent lawsuits and settlements

  • Costs of retrofitting vs. building in accessibility from the start and phasing in with website and mobile app updates

  • A recommended 3-phase approach to mitigating legal risk, enhancing your users’ experience, and monitoring ongoing compliance
