DESCRIPTION:The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) will turn twenty-five
  on July 26\, 2015. And a big anniversary deserves a BIG celebration! That
 's why we're partnering with individuals and organizations around the coun
 try to prepare for 2015. How will YOU celebrate?\n\nThe City of Monticello
  and the Monticello Mayor’s Advisory Council for People with Disabilitie
 s will host a half-day ceremony and event for the national ADA Legacy Bus 
 Tour on June 20th\, 12:30 to 4:00 p.m. at IU Health White Memorial Hospita
 l.\n\nCome for the national anthem and ceremonial greeting from the Mayor 
 at 12:30 p.m. and stay for a community fair and ice cream social (from 1:0
 0 to 4:00 p.m.). Representatives from various disability and social servic
 e organizations will be on hand to talk about their services. Music\, Door
  Prizes\, and did we mention\, ice cream!\n\nOpen to the public. For more

 is located at 720 South Sixth Street in Monticello.\n\nThe ADA Legacy Tour
  is rolling across the country raising awareness and building excitement t
 oward ADA25 - the 25th anniversary of the ADA in 2015! The Tour includes:\
 n\n\n	The "Road to Freedom" ADA Bus - which traveled to 48 states in 2007 
 to raise support for the ADA Amendments Act - courtesy of the Disability R
 ights Center and driven by veteran disability rights photographer\, Tom Ol
 in\;\n	a four-panel display on the history of self-advocacy\, courtesy of 
 the Museum of disABILITY History\;\n	displays on The ADA Legacy Project an
 d its effort to preserve of disability history\; celebrate disability hist
 ory milestones\; and educate future generations of disability advocates\;\
 n	a "Because of the ADA . . ." booth where you can post your thoughts and 
 photos to illustrate the difference the ADA has made in your life\;\n	the 
 ADA quilt - add your signature to thousands of others who have participate
 d in the Tour\;\n	displays on the history of the Road to Freedom Tour\;\n	
 an information table with handouts on The ADA Legacy Project and the ADA\,
  plus information from our partners and sponsors\; and\n	events\, workshop
 s\, artifacts\, and other programming provided by local hosts.\n\n\nSix of
  the Tour stops will be housed at the Abilities Expo\, one of our major To
 ur partners. These stops will include a workshop on the ADA\, courtesy of 
 the ADA National Network.\n\nEach stop will have a unique theme and purpos
