 s by providing highly trained assistance dogs and ongoing support to ensur

 ns is the largest non-profit provider of assistance dogs\, and is recogniz
 ed worldwide for the excellence of its dogs\, and the quality and longevit
 y of the matches it makes between dogs and people. The result is a life fu

 ndependence\, your support goes a long way.\n•For the past 40 years\, Ca
 nine Companions for Independence has trained and placed over 4\,700 assist
 ance dogs with program graduates\, including over 130 dogs with wounded mi

 ains four types of assistance dogs: Service Dogs\, Hearing Dogs\, Skilled 
 Companions and Facility Dogs.\n•The cost of training and support for one
  “graduate team” is $50\,000. This cost covers the breeding of the dog

 r the graduate team that includes periodic assessments and veterinary care
