 ive study of the Texas Architectural Barriers Act (TABA)\, Architectura
 l Barriers Administrative Rules\, and the 2012 Texas Accessibility Standa
 rds (TAS). Attendees will also receive general information about how the 
 TABA and TAS relate to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the 2
 010 ADA Standards for Accessible Design.\n\nAttendance at the Academy requ
 ires pre-registration. The Registration Form (120kb PDF) must be accomp
 anied by the $150.00 tuition fee prior to the TAA to reserve attendance. T
 DLR does not accept credit cards at this time for the TAA. Complete the fo

 eakfast is included with room reservations.\n\nThe Academy is required for
  people seeking departmental certification as a Registered Accessibility S
 pecialist (RAS). Additional information about RAS qualifications and requi
 rements is provided in Architectural Barriers Administrative Rule 68.70. 
 The RAS examination is not administered at the TAA nor does the TAA includ
 e a study of RAS Procedures and processes.\n\nTDLR is a recognized continu
 ing education provider for the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and 
 AIA members earn 16 CEUs for attending the TAA.\n
