 ortation Engineer for the U.S. Access Board\, will present a four-part web
 inar series designed to improve the understanding of why and how to provid
 e accessible pedestrian facilities in the public right of way.  The serie
 s will begin with a discussion of legal obligations\, how the Standards an
 d guidelines apply and then move through the components of pedestrian acce
 ss and how to actually achieve access.\n\nPart 2: Safe and Accessible Inte
 rsections\n\nNow that we've gotten down the sidewalk\, let's get across t
 he street. This webinar will discuss the basic design requirements for cur
 b ramps\, street crossings\, and pedestrian signals.  It will help partic
 ipants better understand the impacts of how designs affect a person's inde
