 15\, was the 25th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act\; Nov
 ember\, 2015\, marked the 20th Anniversary of the Disability Discriminatio
 n Act in Britain\; and December\, 2016\, will be the 10th anniversary of t
 he U.N. Convention on the Rights of People with Disabilities.\n\nMultiple 
 Perspectives is an ongoing exploration of disability\, a conversation incl
 uding many voices and reflecting perspectives gained through experience an
 d research\; theory and practice\, arts and sciences. Presentations will e
 ncourage discussions across the typical social\, political\, and disciplin
 ary boundaries\; connect the individual to local\, national and internatio
 nal approaches\; and consider parallels\, distinctions and intersections w
 ith race\, gender and ethnicity.\n\nThis year’s conference will feature 
 presentations by: Joel Snyder (Author\; President\, Audio Description Asso
 ciates\, LLC\; Director\, Audio Description Project\, American Council of 
 the Blind)\, Victor Pineda (member of The Access Board\; President of Worl
 d ENABLED\; and Senior Fellow at The Haas Institute for a Fair and Inclusi
 ve Society)\, and Melanie Yergeau (Assistant Professor\, Department of Eng
 lish\, University of Michigan).\n
