  tools and examples to help architects introduce accessibility and design 
 for aging in place into new and existing communities without compromising 
 aesthetic character and other design goals. The course provides resources 
 for architects and urban designers to help them create accessible neighbor
 hoods\, blocks\, lots\, and homes. The course illustrates how the goals of
  universal design are compatible with the goals of developing livable\, he
 althy\, and sustainable neighborhoods. Examples demonstrate how universal 
 design is possible in many different types of neighborhoods and housing fo
 rms\, including traditional neighborhood and housing design.\n\nLearning O
 bjectives\n\nAt the conclusion of this course\, participants will be able 
 to…\n\n\n	\n	Learn about a resource for designing accessible housing and
  communities without compromising other important design goals\n	\n	\n	Lea
 rn about specific design solutions that make a home or neighborhood usable
  for all.\n	\n	\n	Learn about solutions to problems with practical applica
 tion of accessibility codes\, especially in housing.\n	\n	\n	Gain a better
  understanding of how to meet the demands of a growing population of peopl

 ble for completing 15 hours of work during a 4-week window (January 11 –
