  and public buildings by focusing on six key elements of the interior: way
 finding\, acoustics\, lighting\, color\, furnishings\, and floor coverings
 . The course provides an in-depth look at each of these elements and ways 
 in which each can positively contribute to health\, inclusion in public li
 fe\, safety\, and psychological and emotional well-being.\n\nLearning Obje
 ctives\n\nAt the conclusion of this course\, participants will be able to
 …\n\n\n	\n	Use evidence-based guidelines to plan interiors that contribu
 te positively to the quality of life of building inhabitants.\n	\n	\n	Expl
 ain the importance of wayfinding in buildings and identify interior design
  elements that enhance wayfinding.\n	\n	\n	Assess the pros and cons of des
 ign elements such as lighting\, furnishings\, and floor coverings to make 
 the most appropriate selections for a users with diverse abilities.\n	\n	\
 n	Discuss the ways in which interior design elements can make an environme
 nt easier and more pleasant to use for all using case studies as examples.
