 epare you to design hotels and other places of lodging in Washington\, DC 
 that are compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Scoping
  and technical requirements of the 2010 ADA Standards will be covered as t
 hey apply to guestrooms\, reception areas\, swimming pools\, restrooms\, p
 arking\, and guest lounges. The on-going barrier removal requirements of t
 he ADA in existing lodging facilities will also be covered as well as rece
 nt ADA litigation cases brought against hotels.\n\nAfter attending this se
 ssion\, participants will be able to:\n\n\n	Distinguish the difference bet
 ween new construction\, alterations\, and barrier removal requirements of 
 the ADA\n	Apply scoping requirements of the 2010 ADA Standards to hotels a
 nd other places of lodging\, including the proper number and dispersion of
  accessible hotel guestrooms\n	Understand the key technical requirements o
 f the 2010 ADA Standards that apply to the design of hotel guestrooms and 
 public-use areas\n	Recite some of the recent ADA cases and alleged complai
 nts involving hotels and other places of lodging\n\n
