 iance and equips participants with the essential concepts\, reference mate
 rials and job aides for conducting timely\, consistent\, and accurate plan
  reviews. Throughout the course\, participants have the opportunity to app
 ly access code regulations against case studies and exercises. The course 
 emphasizes procedures throughout the plan review process as a means to set
  expectations for anyone involved in plan review or development to ensure 
 access compliance in the built environment.\n	\n	\n	Topics:\n\n	\n		\n		Ap
 plication of scoping versus technical code sections.\n		\n		\n		Difference
  between accessible route\, path of travel and circulation path.\n		\n		\n
 		Requirements for new construction\, additions and alterations.\n		\n		\n
 		Review of typical errors or omissions.\n		\n		\n		Reference materials pr
 ovided by the Division of the State Architect.\n		\n	\n	\n\n\nLearning Obj
 ectives\n\nUpon completion of the class students should be able to:\n\n\n\
 n\n\n	\n	Understand the enforcement authority for the 2016 California Buil
 ding Code\n	\n	\n	Understand how to analyze and apply the 2016 California 
 Building Code provisions during the plan review process.\n	\n	\n	Compare a
 nd contrast requirements of the California Building Code with other applic
 able government regulations\, resulting in an increased awareness of disab
 ility access rights law.\n	\n	\n	Review construction documents for access 
 compliance using the latest version of the California Code of Regulations\
