 :  Lessons in Leadership and Legacy Conference will be held on July 8\, 2
 015 from 8:00 am to 4:30pm. We will gather at the Constitution Center Audi
 torium in Washington D.C.  There is no fee for registration. Please stop 
 by our Event Bright page to RSVP.  Attendees must be registered before re
 gistration closes on June 29th.\n\nAs a conference envisioned\, designed\,
  and led by two attorneys with disabilities\, our commitment will be to ac
 tive visibility and inclusion\; collaborating with leaders with disabiliti
 es\, or happily providing reasonable accommodations when the request is co
 mmunicated to the planning committee. Indeed\, the Mid-Atlantic Lyceum is 
 an organization founded and operated by leaders with disabilities. Should

 os\, VII. Esq\n\nLeaders develop others by helping them identify strengths
  and recognizing perceived weaknesses as opportunities. Through mentorship
 \, leaders transform lives by serving as positive role models\, providing 
 advice and guidance on the path to a solid future\, and being someone on w
 hom others can depend. “With the right level of commitment firmly in pla

 Networking\n\n11:15 A.M. to 11:45 A.M. The ADA’s Global Legacy: Disabili
 ty Leadership in the International Community – David Morrissey\, Executi
 ve Director of the U.S. International Council on Disability\n\nThe enactme
 nt of the ADA 25 years ago was the most significant civil rights legislati
 on for individuals with disabilities in the United States. The ADA has als
 o inspired the rest of the world to work toward establishing equal opportu
 nities for individuals with disabilities. Participants will learn about th
 e United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities\, t
 he ADA’s global legacy\, and opportunities for international disability 
 leadership\n\n11:45 A.M. to 1 P.M. – Lunch (on your own) and Networking\
 n\n1 P.M. to 3:30 P.M. Building Leadership Competencies: Listening\, Commu
 nicating\, and Creative Thinking – Laura Wexler\, The Stoop Storytelling
  Series\n\nLeaders foster an atmosphere of open communication and listenin
 g as well as building environments that encourage creative thinking and ne
 w approaches. Participants will listen to leaders in the disability commun
 ity as they share their personal journeys and the impact of the ADA on the
 ir lives. Participants will receive training in the seven tips for telling
  a compelling\, seven-minute personal story. Guided by the motto\, “Ever
 yone has a story. What’s yours?” Stoop helps ordinary people showcase 
 their extraordinary stories.\n\n3:30 P.M. to 3:45P.M. Break and Networking
 \n\n3:45 P.M. to 4:30 P.M. Lessons in Leadership for the Digital Age – G
 uest Fara\, National Transportation Safety Board\n\nLeaders communicate vi
 sion\, influence others\, and adjust to changing environments.\nParticipan
 ts will create their own brand statement and learn to communicate and mark
 et their brand. Participants also will also learn how to leverage the ever
 -changing environment of social media for personal and professional leader
