DESCRIPTION:Date/Time: October 7\, 2015\; 3:00 – 4:30 p.m. Eastern\n\nL
ocation: Webinar\n\nDescription: This July\, the US Department of Health
&amp\; Human Services sent notification to all Centers for Independent Li
ving receiving federal funds that they would need to submit an indirect co
st rate proposal instead of the cost allocation plans required by the US D
epartment of Education.  CIL-NET is coordinating this teleconference and
webinar as the first-step in helping CILs prepare for the new requirements
.  Join us in October to learn the basics of indirect cost rates\, determ
ine if your CIL will need an indirect cost rate\, and what you can do now
to prepare and simplify the process.\n\nThis training is an overview of in
direct cost rates and the new requirement for CILs. Future trainings will
address the details of actually developing your CIL’s indirect cost rate
proposal.\n\nAs we are developing future training with more detail on Ind
irect Cost Rates\, we are wondering if there are any CILs out there who ha
ve already begun the process with HSS for establishing an Indirect Cost Ra
te. If you have\, please share your experience with Paula McElwee at paul
amcelwee-ilru@yahoo.com or call 559-250-3082. Your experiences will help
inform what we share with the field.\n\nRegistration: The registration fe
e is $75.00 per site (connection) and does not apply per participant. Regi
strants are encouraged to gather as many individuals as desired to partici
pate by telephone or webcast. NCIL is facilitating registration for this w
ebinar and you can register online or by using the printable registrati
on form (PDF). For webinar registration assistance\, please contact NCIL
at 202.207.0334 or toll free 877.525.3400\, or visit the NCIL website at
http://www.ncil.org.\n\nTarget Audience: CIL and SILC executive directors
\, financial and program managers\, and other staff involved in accounting
and management of CILs receiving federal awards.\n\nLearning Objectives:
Upon completion of this training\, participants will be able to—\n\n\n
\n	Describe considerations in determining whether CILs need or would bene
fit from an indirect cost rate\n	\n	\n	Describe the process for determinin
