 ESCRIPTION\nOnce you step thru the door into the interior of a building yo
 u encounter a countless number of different elements\, each with its own p
 arameters\, and all are connected by an accessible route. There are requir
 ements not only for the item itself but also how it relates to the facilit
 y as a whole. Whether we are talking about furniture or cabinetry\, drinki
 ng fountains or sinks\, machines or telephones\, restaurant or assembly se
 ating\, they are all overlaid with their own requirements relating to reac
 h ranges\, clear floor space\, and operating force. We will review a numbe
 r of these elements regarding their technical and scoping requirements to 
 better increase our language and understanding for accessible design.\n\nS
