DESCRIPTION:The presenters will provide an overview of the updated Departme
 nt of Homeland Security Trusted Tester Version 5\, associated trainings wi
 th trusted tester\, and the trusted tester certification process.\n\nThe D
 epartment of Homeland Security Office of Accessible Systems and Technology
 \, in coordination with other government agencies\, have updated the Trust
 ed Tester Training series and certification exam to align with the Web Con
 tent Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 and the Revised Section 508 Stand
 ards. The shared testing methodology results in improved outcomes\, includ
 ing decreased delivery time for accessible web and software\, and increase
 d ability to compare the accessibility of multiple products while reducing
  redundant evaluation efforts. The new training improves consistency of tr
 aining materials\, supports a wider range of student test environments\, a
 nd streamlines the certification exam while maintaining the integrity of t
 he exam itself.\n\nIn addition\, Trusted Tester V 5.0 also improves the ov
 erall format\, flow\, and construction of the process and its test conditi
 ons to improve readability\, coherence\, and the overall effectiveness of 
 the test process.\n\nPresenters will discuss the new testing tool\, the Ac
 cessible Name and Description Inspector (ANDI)\, and how it is designed sp
 ecifically to facilitate code inspection-based testing. ANDI’s improveme
 nts in facilitating code-based inspection improves test efficiency while a
 lso simplifying test procedures.\n\nThe presentation will provide informat
 ion on what is covered in the fully revised Trusted Tester training and de
 scribe the supporting resources and reporting tools that are available for
  use for Trusted Testers.\n\nThe presenters will respond to questions from
  the audience.\n\nQuestions for presenters:\n\n\n	\n	If I enroll can I com
 plete the training or is it only partially developed?\n	\n	\n	When will th
 e revised Trusted Tester course be fully available?\n	\n	\n	Does Version 3
  Certified Trusted Tester who have successfully completed all training and
  successfully passed Version 3 Trusted Tester Exam need to re-enroll to st
 art over with Version 5 certification?\n	\n	\n	In the past the DHS Trusted
  Tester Program could not be completed by a person who was blind and using
  screen reader technology. Has this changed or do you still have to have v
 ision to successfully complete this training? If vision is required are th
 ere any plans to develop a Trusted Tester component that can be completed 
 by screen reader users?\n	\n	\n	Is this certification and the Interagency
