  every facility has a door or gate that can either welcome us into a build
 ing or act as a hindrance. We will review door and gate requirements from 
 clearances and specifications to operating hardware\, including automatic 
 opening devices. The requirements vary depending upon the type of entry an
 d whether it is swinging\, sliding\, pocket\, or just an opening. There ar
 e power-assist\, low energy\, and automatic doors and gates which have fur
 ther requirements over and above manual doors. As always\, the approach ha
 s impact on spatial parameters. We will additionally review permanent room
  signs which are associated with doors and also have impact on spatial req
