 er-necessary ADA units! Attendees will attend the first\, break for lunch\

 door or gate that can either welcome us into a building or act as a hindra
 nce — and even one small item can make the difference. The requirements 
 now vary depending upon the type of entry and whether it is swinging\, sli
 ding\, or just an opening. There are automatic\, semi-automatic\, and powe
 r-assist doors which have further requirements over and above manual doors
 . As always\, the approach has impact on the spatial parameters. In this s
 eminar we will learn how to master all of these requirements to create wel
 coming entries to buildings and spaces.\n\nSUBJECTS COVERED\nJust about ev

 ecifications to operating hardware\, including automatic opening devices\n

 is one of the more critical elements for navigating thru our built environ
 ment whether interior or exterior. It often appears to be an entirely diff
 erent language separate from architecture and is relegated to a corner or 
 an after-thought. But signage is something that affects all of us. We will
  review different sign types and their various requirements in general. We
  will also closely review the various components each sign type is compris
 ed of leading to a better understanding and integration into our language 
 of architecture.\n\nSUBJECTS COVERED\nOne of the more important elements o
 f navigating thru the built environment is signage — with this in-depth 
 look at sign types and components we will be better abled to integrate sig
