 e Grant\n8/31/2016 3:00:00 PM ET\n\nThe Department of Justice withdrew the
  notice of proposed rulemaking under Title II and Title III. DOJ has reque
 sted a Supplemental Advance Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (SANPRM) solicit
 ing additional public comment on various website accessibility issues and 
 asking for related cost information for preparing a regulatory impact anal
 ysis. Comments on the SANPRM must be submitted by August 8\, 2016. The Aug
 ust 31 Webinar will provide participants with the current status of the AD
 A website accessibility proposed regulations with an overview of the proce
 ss and public comments presented by Lex Frieden\, Director of the ILRU and
  Principal Investigator for the Southwest ADA Center. Greg Vanderheiden\, 
 Director of the Global Public Inclusive Infrastructure (GPII) will provide
  an update on the Raising the Floor Global Public Inclusive Infrastructure
  (GPII) grant. The GPII grant was awarded by the US Department of Educatio
 n’s Rehabilitation Services Administration to ensure that everyone who f
 aces accessibility barriers due to disability\, literacy\, digital literac
 y\, or aging\, regardless of economic resources\, can access and use the I
 nternet and all its information\, communities\, and services for education
 \, employment\, daily living\, civic participation\, health\, and safety. 
 The Global Public Inclusive Infrastructure\, a cloud-based personalized in
 terface system that could change the landscape of assistive technologies.\
 n\nLearning Objectives\n\n\n	Participants will be able name three reasons 
 why businesses and state agencies should not delay in making websites acce
 ssible.\n	Participants will be able to provide one way a website maybe con
 sidered a “place of public accommodation” under the ADA.\n	Participant
 s will be able to identify three things the Global Pubic Inclusive Infrast
