 fornia Commission on Disability Access (CCDA) is to promote disability acc
 ess in California through dialogue and collaboration with stakeholders inc
 luding\, but not limited to\, the disability and business communities as w
 ell as all levels of government.  In order to achieve this mission the C
 CDA is authorized by California Government Code Sections 14985-14985.11 to
  act as an information resource\; to research and prepare advisory reports
  of findings to the Legislature on issues related to disability access\, c
 ompliance inspections and continuing education\; to increase coordination 
 between stakeholders\; to make recommendations to promote compliance with 
 federal\, and state laws and regulations\; and to provide uniform informat
 ion about programmatic and architectural disability access requirements to

 ions” information compiled by the California Commission on Disability Ac
 cess (CCDA) for businesses and building access requirements is part of a d
 eveloping resource guide. It is the hope of our commission that over time 
 this information will help to better inform the community about areas wher
 e disability access is lacking so that it can be addressed through the col
 laborative efforts of the government and business and disability communiti
 es to reduce such barriers in California.\n\nCCDA is in the beginning stag
 es of developing Consumer Access Tool Kits. We envision unique industry-fo
 cused toolkits will be developed to cover all industries standards. CCDA h
 as gathered access professionals and representatives from various organiza
 tions to ensure the highest quality of expertise to meet this charge.\n\n2

  case filings and/or demand letters. CCDA has collected 4307 alleged ADA a

 essibility Construction Inspection Checklist (More Info)\n\nThe Californi
 a Commission on Disability Access is pleased to provide this Accessibility
  Construction Inspection Checklist (Accessibility Checklist) for use by tr
 ained building code officials/building inspectors as a reference guide to 
 assist with on-site inspection of accessibility features and construction 
 elements affecting accessibility compliance. The purpose of this Accessibi
 lity Checklist is to provide trained building code officials/building insp
 ectors with a reference list of the most common accessibility features to 
 be inspected and/or verified during the construction phases of commercial 
 projects. This Accessibility Checklist is based on the 2013 California Bui
 lding Code (CBC)\, Part 2. title 24. California Code of Regulations and sh
 ould be used in conjunction with the regulations found in Chapter 11B of t
 he CBC.\n
