DESCRIPTION:The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) is a civil rights law
  that aims for equal opportunity for people with disabilities to use the s
 ervices provided in the United States. Presented by four members of the AD
 A National Network's health care subcommittee\, this webinar will lay the 
 groundwork for understanding the responsibilities for healthcare providers
  under the ADA in the provision of health care services. We will cover the
  basic three areas: 1) facility access including: physical access to the b
 uilding and exam rooms and accessible medical equipment\; 2) effective com
 munication with patients with disabilities\; and 3) modification of progra
