DESCRIPTION:Date/Time: June 19\, 2018 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm\n\nLocation:
  Webinar\n\nDescription: In this 30 minute presentation\, Tony Stephens\
, Director of Advocacy &amp\; Governmental Affairs at the American Counc
il of the Blind will review accessibility concerns over the rise in recent
years of touch screen displays in places of public accommodation\, drawin
g attention to access barriers and workable solutions. Inaccessible kiosks
raise multiple concerns with equal access and inclusion. These concerns a
re rooted in Sections 504 and 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973\, and
in Titles II and III of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Often\, rem
edies and solutions are made through software redesigns\, with sometimes h
ardware also being reconfigured. This draws into the conversation issues p
ertaining to both physical access barriers and software constraints raised
by not adhering to AA Section 508  standards and the most current Web C
ontent Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0).\n\nTo register please click he
