 will focus on a variety of topics\, such as setting up a classroom and sch
 edule\, choosing materials\, addressing the student with CVI\, using Activ
 e Learning with older students and information on research related to Acti
 ve Learning. Various guest speakers will be a part of this year’s presen
 tations. You must register for each individual session: September 2017\, 
 November 2017\, January 2018\, March 2018\, &amp\; May 2018.\n\nPenrickton
  Center for Blind Children\, Perkins School for the Blind\, and Texas Scho
 ol for the Blind and Visually Impaired will host this series of five webin
 ars on Active Learning\, an instructional approach developed by Dr. Lilli 
 Nielsen.\n\nACVREP and SBEC Statement:\n\nThis training event has been app
 roved by the Academy for Certification of Vision Rehabilitation and Educat
 ion Professionals (ACVREP) and the State Board for Educator Certification 
 based on the actual hours of the presentation not including breaks. Other 
 types of certification are not regularly provided. \n\nIf you would like 
 Outreach Programs to apply for other types of certification (TPTA\, TSHA\,
  etc.)\, contact Kate Hurst at hurstk@tsbvi.edu at least 60 days prior to 
 the event to see if this certification can be requested.\n\nImportant Sess
