 h disabilities to medical diagnostic equipment. The standards provide desi
 gn criteria that will allow independent access to diagnostic equipment\, i
 ncluding types that require transfer from wheelchairs and other mobility a
 ids. Provisions address transfer surfaces\, support rails\, armrests\, com
 patibility with lift devices\, and other features to facilitate transfer. 
 This session will provide an overview of this important rulemaking.\n
