 the rise in our country\, yet many of the resources available to understan
 d the needs of this community are limited to the very young. This webinar 
 will focus on strategies to work effectively with young adults with autism
  as they access the health care system\, either alone or with family suppo
 rt. Discussion will focus on understanding the autism spectrum\, basic et
 iquette in working with the autistic community\, and modifications or acco
 mmodations that might make this easier for both the provider and the perso
 n with a disability. Case study examples from across the region will be pr
 ovided to ensure that learning occurs in the context of everyday lived exp
 eriences.\n\nThis session will:\n\n\n	\n	Aid in understanding the various 
 ways individuals on the autism spectrum experience and interact with the w
 orld\n	\n	\n	Provide tips on interacting with the autistic community\n	\n	
 \n	Provide information on the obligation health care facilities have to ac
 commodate people with disabilities along with strategies to implement thos
