 on committed itself to eliminating discrimination against people with disa
 bilities. The U.S. Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division is prou
 d to play a critical role in enforcing the ADA\, working towards a future 
 in which all the doors are open to equality of opportunity\, full particip
 ation\, independent living\, integration and economic self-sufficiency for
  persons with disabilities. In honor of the 25th anniversary of the ADA\, 
 each month the Department of Justice will spotlight efforts that are openi
 ng gateways to full participation and opportunity for people with disabili
 ties.\n\nOn July 23 the U.S. Department of Justice\, the U.S. Equal Emplo
 yment Opportunity Commission\, and the U.S. Access Board will present “A
  Celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Ac
 t” available as a live stream broadcast on ADA.gov.\n\nThere will be a n
 umber of speakers. NPR’s Joe Shapiro will moderate a panel of people wi
 th disabilities\, who have seen their lives changed because of enforcement
  actions that the Justice Department and the EEOC have taken to ensure tha
 t the civil rights of people with disabilities are upheld.  In addition\,
  Bob Williams will read “Doing Justice\,” a poem he wrote for this eve
 nt.\n\nThe live stream broadcast on ADA.gov will include captions and aud
