 ging Young Artists Program winners. Each year\, this program recognizes ou
 tstanding young artists with disabilities through a juried visual arts com
 petition. The Focus Forward exhibit will include the work of 15-17 artists
  who represent the past 13 years of the VSA Emerging Young Artists Program
 . The exhibition will revisit the work of these awarded artists with the i
 ntent to reveal the program's impact\, artistic ambitions\, and their subs
 equent success.\nThe Exhibit is free and open to the public during open ho
 urs of the Kennedy Center.\n\n24/40 Celebration\nTwo monumental milestones
 .  One awesome celebration.\n25 years ago\, the Americans with Disabiliti
 es Act extended civil rights to millions of Americans. 40 years ago\, the 
 Kennedy Center’s VSA opened its doors to provide arts and education oppo
 rtunities for all people with disabilities. These are indeed powerful reas
 ons to celebrate. And so we shall!\nThis is the 25/40 Celebration. Join us
  in DC this July—the Kennedy Center and the Smithsonian are offering a o
 ne-of-a-kind\, cross-campus celebration. We are filling our stages\, theat
 ers\, and public spaces with outstanding\, free events to honor a culture 
 of creativity\, expression\, and American heritage.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n
